The head of Project Management Department of Cybernet company was elected the “Digital leader of the year”

The Women in IT Awards, technology’s largest diversity event in Azerbaijan organized by Azerbaijani Women in ICT (AWIC) “FEMMES DIGITALES” Club, gathered 300 of Azerbaijan’s most prominent IT leaders on January 26, 2017 at Baku’s Mugham Center.

The Jury staff was represented by successful men only (no female judges to avoid any sort of bias), representing the leading private ICT structures, well-known universities, media, government institutions and etc. and they selected winners on 15 nominations among more than 100 applicants.

The head of Project Management Department of Cybernet company – Shahla Mammadova was awarded on the nomination THE DIGITAL LEADER OF THE YEAR. On this nomination the jury focused on the nominants' successful experience in the field of IT innovations, leadership, digital technologies, return on investments, compliance with business objectives of company, local and global projects implemented in the field of IT.

It should be stated, that Shahla Mammadova was also the winner of the “Women in STEM” competition organized by Open World Leadership Center thru U.S. Embassy in Azerbajan and she will leave for U.S. to represent Azerbaijan in the two-weeks program in March.

Cybernet company was awarded as a successful partner by the certificate of acknowledgement at the ceremony attended by Deputy Minster of Communication and High Technologies, Deputy Chair of the State Committee for Problems of Family, Women and Children, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of US to Azerbaijan and his wife, deputy of the National Assembly, also representatives of other public and private bodies.

We should state, that İlham Namazov, General Director of Cybernet company which implements successful innovations in IT field and supports development of women in the field of IT also attended the ceremony and awarded the winner on the nomination THE STUDENT OF THE YEAR in the field of ICT in the “AWITA 2017” competition.
